With the help of some tech-savvy friends, we built a coaching portal to help clients manage coaching programmes and to help coachees select a coach and track their own progress against their goals during a coaching programme.
A leader can select their coach from WholeHearted’s Faculty by searching across a number of criteria and by watching pre-recorded videos clips of the coach describing their approach to coaching. This allows the leader to do some shortlisting before organising a chemistry call and, then, finalising who they are going to work with.
Once a programme is underway, the leader and their coach can record coaching goals on the portal and use a built-in, customisable 360 tool to gather feedback on a regular basis to check on the leader’s progress against their goals. There is also a shared space where the leader and their coach can swap insights from coaching sessions. The hours used are recorded on the system so that the leader can see how many hours they have remaining.
Whilst we respect the confidentiality of the coaching relationship, some oversight is often appreciated by those involved in the management of coaching. The portal gives those people glimpses into the action which is underway. Line managers of leaders working with a WholeHearted coach can track progress against the goals and those professionals overseeing coaching and leadership development can oversee which coach is working with which leader in their organisation and how many hours have been used.
